Default Lightweight patent leather KS98 "dress" frog?

This patent leather frog next to the combat K98 frog, is surprisingly lightweight, with very thin leather and somewhat shorter than usual for a KS98 frog. I guess it may have shrunk, and the hanger shows the marks of a crosshatch grip plate. But it still seems flimsy to me, given that parade KS98 were quite heavy. I wonder if there is any other possible blade it was once attached to?
