Need opinions on single etched short dress bayonet...

    Anyone else have thoughts regarding the teardrop lug on the bayonet, or the engraving for that matter??

    Thanks JR. Would you please elaborate on your comment a bit? Are all parts original (wartime)? Is the etching original period in your opinion?

    Ivan is correct on the etch being period 3rd Reich. The scabbard looks to be a K98 Mauser shell. The frog and knot may even be Imperial. It's cobbled together.
