New purchase K98S bayonet

Hi, just wanted to show my new purchase, got it today, its a K98 Model S bayonet, serial number 6468, S/239, it has seen better days and has no scabbard, but its still a beautifull blade.

Was it difficult to find one in Portugal, as you have mentioned before that you have no militaria shops near you?

'S/' series bayonets were made in the 30's.
You should see a date on the top "flat" of the blade near the crossguard........

it looks genuine not the greatest shape you can find one in but nevertheless, it is a good item to own in any collection. unfortunately i cannot tell you the manufacturer because, as far as i know, s/239 (sonlingen) is an unknown maker.
