Nuno, it looks original Was it difficult to find one in Portugal, as you have mentioned before that you have no militaria shops near you?

iv seen a few of the 1942´s model, but this one, you have no idea how hard it was to find one.

'S/' series bayonets were made in the 30's.
You should see a date on the top "flat" of the blade near the crossguard........

I cant find any date, so far...

Found some info about it, it was made in 1937 by Rich. A. Herder. Tomorow ill post some photos on serial numbers and dates.

Here, they have info and photos of all types of german bayonets, then i knew where to look for the date.
