Opinions on this bayonet please would be much appreciated. It's a p.weyersburg dated 1940 to blade and scabbard numbered 1199 also to both. WaA marked three times to bayonet and once to ball of scabbard. Scabbard has also been painted black some time ago. Frog is faintly marked. E.o gotze and sohn gersdorf 1939 and has a small purpose made hole to lower right side ? Other than the black paint on the scabbard is this an original bayonet? It looks like a good period example. With what I would normally expect to see somewhere on the back of the frog the "LBA" marking to additionally confirm the Luftwaffe connection (many times indistinct and/or worn off). PS: Pictured is the tie strap version. Best Regards, Fred

thanks Fred nice to see a clear example. Had a good look over this one and no signs of an "LBA" mark long since worn off I guess . Glad I couid at least identify it and get some good opinions on the bayonet. Cheers jon
