Possibly a K98 Bayonet?

Hello - Can I say immediately that I have NO knowledge whatsoever of German kit of any kind, and come to you for assistance with this item. Please be as kind as you can!
It was the property of the late Mark Kettleborough, whom some of you may have known, and is now in the hands of his once-intended wife, who has no wish to keep it and has asked me to help her perhaps find a buyer for it.
Can we ask your opinions please, on condition; whether real or fake, and if it would be of interest to anyone, either on this forum or anyone they know? Also, if anyone has an idea of its possible value, if anything, it would be very much appreciated.
I do hope you can help us, if so, it would be very much appreciated.

Yes, a dress, or ks98 bayonet. In this condition, not much value I'm afraid, not even for parts. $40-50 tops.

One of the E Pack make KS98 (dress sidearm or bayonet) my favorite maker this one is real rough as stated. Still a original KS98 that seen much wear and tear, and abuse. timothy
