S/172 1940 K98 Bayonet

Article about: My 1940 Eickhorn bayonet,only around 20,000 made with this marking.

    Unusual that the only mods to it are the Israeli proofs and numbers. It is my understanding that these 1940 dated Eickhorns were stored and not issued, when the Israeli's acquired them in 1948 they welded a muzzle ring on them. Does the blade have any modifications, such as an added false edge on top?

    Hi Jim,the bayonet that was in it when I bought it is a `39 Mundlos as shown,no modifications to it at all...Pete.

    Very nice bayos. My fav are Mundlos.
