I like the fact that the serial number is double stamped and the "h" is on the wrong side. It's amazing how much quality control had fallen off by the end of the war.

Yes just one on top side reverse of pommel light strike that don't show up too good didn't find anymore maybe one at the end of the flashguard. Thanks all for noticing the oddities of serial no didn't ever notice it till now late in the war control must have been laxed. timothy

Very interesting piece Timothy. First example I have seen from Alexander Coppel in 1944 with this letter block anomaly. The reverse pommel should have only one WaA519 stamping at this point in production. This bayonet is also within the serial number ranges in which Coppel was using some subcontracted scabbards (coded can - no date) produced by Wallmeier Maschinenfabrik, Eisenach.
