S84/98 III bayonet with strange mark (star)

This rejection stamp. What is the purpose of it? They bayonet wasnt good enough anymore to be used in combat ?

don't know it's a pretty good looking bayonet too me?

Its possible that for some reason it was not going through the inspection in first time, maybe as 1942 is year of dsecond offensive in Russia they needed all weapons, or the reason is not a rejection. best regards,Andy
