Hello Fred
I agree with you about the age of the bayonet.
I think it is around 40 41
I mean the wkc
he is too neat for a late war.
as I explained earlier,
everyone tries to find equal numbers (including me)
But when things like this come up.
I think it's worth having them anyway
sorry, again i have dyslexia, sorry if the sentences are wrong ?

You have there a 1929 WuK KM Nordsee marked piece, inside of a latewar scabbard, i would personally switch the FWH scabbard to this piece, as its more period real to compare with cof 43, when not matched together or confirmed bringback in that case.
FWH scabbard that i saw some other piece was interestingly stamped too with 2.Pioneer Battalion.
WKC blanko piece could be of 1940/41 period. b.r.Andy

Thank you Andy for the additional information about the 2.Pioneer Battalion
but what do you mean by "FWH scabbard that I saw some other piece was interestingly stamped too with 2. Pioneer Battalion."
Do you think FWH was the only manufacturer for the 2 pioneer bayonet?
If there are more people who also have one.
maybe they want to share it.

Hi there,
F.W. Höller only produces replacement sheaths. Other companies such as Weyerberg (WuK) and Hörster manufactured complete sets and spare parts during this period.
-
Its only coincidence that there is Pi2 stamps on various pieces, i believe too that FWH made only spare scabbards, as no bayonets are confirmed to this time. b.r.Andy

Bruce Karem listed in his Book a FWH scabbard with a Northern See untit Marking of the Reichsmarine.

Is that the : s84/98 bayonet volume 1 1908 1933 ?
