A little unusual in that it has neither maker code or date, But definitely a good Lw piece!
Can't find the good photo, but mine is marked hat over 1942/Lw proof.

Personally, I would question it. These boot knives have been being reproduced now to near almost perfection. This knife posted looks to be absolutely new and almost without even a finger print on it for 70 plus years of age to it.

Well, since my knife is dated 42 that makes it 73 yrs old and it is in Exc cond. Thus I don't see any correlation between condition and originality!
In addition I don't think it likely that anyone making repros would Only mark them with the Lw proof.

Luftwaffe proof alone is fine. I have own one bought over 30 years ago.
It is a good original knife.

I just got a second one this week! One is with the 5 stamp the other 6, but BOTH with only that . The later one is well used, the other one almost mint ;-)
