Heer (??) dagger scabbard predicament...on Luftwaffe dagger

I posted about this somewhere on this site....there are so many selections & my knowledge about what is what is very limited.

John Carhart, local WW-2 nose gunner died about 4 years ago.... I bought his blades from the estate. Normally, I wouldnt keep anything in damaged condition, but Donna picked several out from the 150 plus swords & daggers to keep & this is one of them.

I bought some stuff from an intnet ad, including the scabbard pictured w/dagger inserted.
The original scabbard is dented & bent. I had thought I could take the hanger attachments off the damaged one & put on the good one......not so.... some one here told me.

What course of action is there........if any???

Is there a scabbard guru available on this site.....or any site...???

Hello PJ..could you post these separately in their own thread for further study of details?

Please supply photos of the crossguards front and back
Blade producer logos
Pommel front and back
numbering if any beneath the Luft sword crossguard
and front an back photos of the scabbard in question.

I will move this thread to the Luftwaffe Dagger sub forum.
