Well as much as these photos are appreciated betters ones will be needed for sure. The photos lack detail needed to make a fair assessment of the dagger and the engraving.

Hi Matt your off to a good start...dont worry I will move your thread to the Luftwaffe forum later. When shooting photos try not to use a flash as it will flood out any detail that needs to be seen to help identify areas that may be critical to authenticate the dagger. Bright indirect indoor house lighting...or outside on an overcast day would be sufficient. Take your time..it is important to have clear detailed photos. Everyone wants to see the etch on the blade.
