    Hii, it will be a retailer/distributors marking. The same mark has been observed on Fireman's dress bayonets. I think this mark will be fairly rare.

    Thanks for that Ade, i don't think they would have continued trading after bomber commands visit!

    Hi Nick, nice. I see your manufacturers mark runs along the blade, my one runs across, alcoso arched over the scale symbol and solingen under that. i did take a picture but it was useless. Do you know which mark was in use first?

    OKW , i believe that the Alex Coppell maker mark on Nicks dagger is the earlier version

    Thanks glad you like it, I bought it last year at an auction house. It came from the estate of a deceased retired pilot...
