Hi, Thanks for your reply, as this dagger seems to have a bent tang judging from the offset pommel that I can't for the life of me get to unscrew it must have taken a considerable knock to the pommel to cause such damage but there is no evidence of a knock to the side of the pommel so I reckon that the pommel it has now was a replacement after the accident as to when it was replaced I guess I will never know. Does the later replacement pommel affect the value of this dagger much? thanks for the comment about the chain clips I like them too and the pommel doesn't bather me much either. I will be looking for a nice all aluminium type next. Thanks to all who responded.
