Here is the first and only Luftwaffe dagger in my collection. This beautiful 2nd edition with the original hangers. The blade is unmarked but I believe it to be a Carl Julius Krebs based on the distinctive eagle on the cross guard. Like always please let me know your opinions

HI Wally. Please if you could provide one more photo of the top of the guard..that should bring close the Identity of at least the crossguard.
As I see it now the dagger is not Krebs produced or it would of had their logo on the blade.

Right now Im seeing a WKC Produced Scabbard as the bands having slightly wider carrying bands with a straightline separators between the oak leaves. Other scabbard band types will have slight curvatures and thicknesses in their bands.

The Pommel is a generic or WKC ...which is the only pommel I know that has the Swastika leg points that just crossover the inner ring edges.

There is an unknown producer who may have contracted WKC for the fittings of this dagger.
Another photo of the top of the crossguard showing the oakleaf relief will help identify the crossgaurd.

    Regards Larry
