Nice looking dagger
I still need to add a Luft to my collection, and when
I do, it will be a pumpkin handled one like yours.

I was addicted to the "Hokey-Pokey" but I've turned
myself around.
Nothing wrong with that portapee, the Luftwaffe ones are shorter than the Heer types and tied differently. Heer ones are generally around 43cm long and Luftwaffe are approximately 23cm long. The one above is tied correctly and in nice condition. It's worth around $100 on it's own.

We shall stick it out to the end, but we are getting weaker of course, and the end cannot be far.
It seems a pity, but I do not think I can write more. R. SCOTT.

Thanks Ned!
I've got much to learn
I definitely like the orange grip-it gives the whole set a very considerable good appearance. 2nd Model Luftwaffes are collectable, of course, but not significantly Rare. If you purchased this set from a Dealer, you would likely be expected to pay up$700...maybe more on a good day. And, no-the portapee is just fine and is, indeed, correct for this set.

Thanks alot for the helpful information!
It might not be rare, but it will be my first luftwaffe dagger if i get a hold of it.
And hopefully it wont be my last, cause i'd really like to buy me a first model one day.
I really like the way they look!
Cheers,
Jonas
Hi Joronas, you show us very nice EARLY 2nd. model Luftwaffe dagger made by Anton Wingen Jr. Dagger is early and not very common, because A. Wingen use mostly Generic parts and white girps. So in my opinion this dagger will be very good purchase if you are beginner in collecting or advanced collector. I hope you show us some nice daggers soon
Good luck with collecting!
Regards Peter
I agree with Peter, early and less seen variation of the Wingen Luft 2nd. Worlds more impressive than the later ones in my humble opinion..Well done! Kevin.
Thank you Kevin for the kind words, although I never got this dagger.
Did not win at the auction.
Cheers,
Jonas
OH no! Sorry to hear that..
