i have the opportunity to purchase this dagger,the handle is loose,no finish on scabbard,rust on blade,its made by WKS solingen,what do we think of it vertues and whats a fair price,thank you all.

Better close up photographs will help. Ask the seller for clearer images and post them on here, somebody will be able to help you then.

Although it appears its all there, its in a sorry state, especially the blade as its beginning to pit through rust corrosion, this affects the price considerably, as for the grip being loose that may be just a simple tightening of the pommel, there is grip wire missing, the scabbard might just need a light cleaning, the hangers are a bonus, whats the asking price

Save your money. They are a common dagger.

I've learned one important lesson: daggers who are in a bad shape are hard to sell when you want to upgrade them.
better save your money and buy a decent piece, like Adrian said.
A great piece will pay you back with intrest in the future, a bad piece will be hard to sell.
then you have to save "new"money to buy a decent piece and your "old" money will be stuck in the old one.
That will make it an even more expensive hobby.
