Luftwaffe dagger real or fake ?

Well gents, the pictures are very poor but I think the dagger is Original. Here's the same crossguard on a dagger from my collection.

The eagle on this crossguard is so ugly it's almost difficult to look at. Looks more like a "Turkey vulture" stalking it's next victim. (The example with the ivory colored grip)

Hahaha, that's true but the dagger has a special feature. Just look at this. He later became a general. That's the reason I bought the dagger in the first place

Absolutely! $57 that's just £44.25 You'd pay more than that for a replacement original grip or crossguard it was a good deal and as jamie7d7 says a nice careful clean done properly! will improve it a lot and you could possibly get that damaged scabbard band repaired too? Also is that some gilt showing on the pommel swastika? Regards, Andy.
