Luftwaffe fighting-knife

Here´s a "Kampfmesser der Wehrmacht Luftwaffe".

Such "boot-knive´s" were in use in units of the WL in it´s "Feld-Divisionen", ("field-division´s"), and the "Fliegendem Personal", ("flying personell").

Also units of the Wehrmacht-Heer used this fighting-knife !

They´re not that common, as the Infanteriemesser 42

There´re the Luftwaffe Acceptance mark´s: "Eagle 5" and "Eagle 6", also the letter "W" or "S", marked upon the blade, (maker´s ?), also unmarked blade´s are known.


This pattern fighting knives were made from 1942 on, as far as I know.

lenght of the hilt, (incl. Crossguard): ca. 11,4 cm
