Very nice knife. I also have one marked with an 'S' (https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/dagge...-knife-209089/). When I researched the 'S' I found that the common consensus was that it was a manufacturer, but could not find any further info other than that.
Great link GrimeBox!! It is a great help. Regards Larry

Hi !
Your knive looks a little bit sharpened and "cleaned" ...
Anyway, it´s an legit one !
Such "boot-knive´s" were in use in units of the "WL" in it´s "Feld-Divisionen", ("field-division´s"), and the "Fliegendem Personal", ("flying personell").
Also units of the Wehrmacht-Heer used this fighting-knife !
The Fighting-knife of the "WL" is known with the marks, ("Luftwaffe acceptance-mark"): "Eagle 5", or, "Eagle 6".
Also the letter "W", or, "S", marked on the blade.
There´re also Luftwaffe fighting-knive´s without any marks.
Some collectors believe, that the "W" and the "S" are the shortcut for makers.
Rgds.,
