    Patrick,

It is not a bad price of you are okay with Nethe on the blade. Also I would really want to have a up close visit with the makers mark before I bought it. The rest seems to check out. Thanks for posting more pictures

Agree with Ralph that new Makers Mark Pics look fine. Thanks!

Yes-the maker's mark is just fine. It was simply the poor lighting and camera shot that made it appear distorted. I like it-it's a dandy little knife. I will have to disagree, though, in the fact that I Like the "Nethe" addition to it. Was it the name of it's owner, or something more unusual? Hard to say, but it adds a touch of personalization and character to it, in my eyes. £850 is abit steep, but these pieces are not all that easy to find and in such decent condition too. The rarest bit, I would say, is the seldom encountered original Hanger, and this one looks to be a Beauty! I would be just fine with this set in my collection.

    Hi All

Thanks for the help with this. I've fed back all the information to the guy, even directed him to the correct web sites etc if he wanted to sell it to them. I assessed it from my POV and offered him £500 this morning which I considered fair, reasonable and affordable....happy to say he has accepted

I will post some better photos when I get it.

Thanks again for all the help.
