Nice example of a NSfK, proper casting marks help authenticate it, CW could be initials of the owner and 278 a unit number? I have one with initials on the hanger tab, great dagger!
nice one.
Hi Vlad..nice find!!...dagger shows character with the owners initials..and I have to agree with John..aka "Maximus"..with it being the owners unit. these daggers are so underated...but yet the are so political and shared the same amenities..as their SA SS and HJ counterparts. Thanks for showing. . Regards Larry

Friends,
I thank you for your answers, your attention and your knowledge.
Thanks.
Great little knife! Nice to see the hanger with it as well. As for the numbers? Well, they could be, literally, anything. The original owners ID markings? Or perhaps the GI who brought it home's way of marking it as his property? Alot of guys used to use the hand engravers on everything they brought home-including guns.
