    This dagger seems to have the same mark, and is maker marked too. Might be useful for you.

    I believe its a forge mark often found on dagger tangs.

    Harrys right its a forge mark.

    This cross in a square is the most common caster mark mostly found on generic daggers.
    The caster is still unknown.
