This is indeed 835 marked but i have seen other period rings being stamped with 800 as well. Also some of the silver made awards are found to be stamped 800 like RKs.

800 is okey. Period silver can be found in 800,830,835,935,950...several different grades.

Do not got me wrong. Just too many similar rings for me during last 1-2 years. I was offered very similar ring from Latvia and I have seen at least 3-4 on ebay.de and other auction houses recently. I have not seen any of them for previous 15 years. It will be interesting to know if anyone has. We have many collectors here who have collected for more than 40-50 years. Is this ring type known to You pre 2000?

I don't know about the patina but this example resembles all correct features. Silver 835, correct maker's mark (Degner), hollow skull which is attached on the ringband.
I will post pics of another example for comparison.
