Sorry, no good news.
In my opinion a bad cast fake from an original piece.
A lot of pittings/little holes from gasporosity all about and hallmarks look for me cast too.

I have to agree with Odal on this one. Poor surfacing and lack of clean detail on this ring are not typical of period Italian DAK rings. If you look through the archives in TR rings here you can find some original examples for comparison. Sorry, Rod...
