Why in the world do you want to know his ring size?
Operaman,
If someone said they had a ring that belonged to Hermann Goering—that he had worn—and it was (lets say) 7 sizes smaller than his known ring size—then obviously he did not wear the ring because it would be to small to fit his rather large fingers.
Its size (the ring in question) would not prove that the ring belonged to him—but knowing his known personal ring size would have to (at the very least) match the size of the ring in question.
It's just an "obvious" first observation, the only sure evidence would be an iron-clad provenance of course.

As HG was not a small guy i quess his ring size was 21-23mm. Average size for a man is 19-21.
