It's genuine. Sold the ring to Don Boyle. Didn't get quite as much as people said we might.

Don Boyle Purchased the ring from you? Wow...I'd say it Was genuine then! As for the price, you have to keep in mind, though, that the values quoted were Retail-what you could expect to Pay a seller for one. What a seller will Give you for one is Less, naturally. Just how much less, differs from seller to seller and their potential profit margins of course. Was the amount given Hugely off the estimate? It was in beautiful condition-almost looked virtually unworn!

There were some scratches on the inner surface.
As for the price..........I worked for many years in the horse business. When someone would tell me a horse was "worth" a sum of money I would learn to take it with a grain of salt. There is frequently a vast difference between what a horse is "worth" when you are talking over drinks and how much money someone is actually willing to put into your sweatly lil' hands to purchase him.
He has the knowledge, he has the connections, and we don't. It would have taken a lot of time and effort for us to sell it, if we could have at all. The price he paid wasn't that much lower than his appraisal.
A bird in the hand and all that.
