Love them, Chris! I especially like the one you are wearing I'd wear it too. I had one of the EK rings with the date , but it was a post war make. Also, I stopped wearing it because it turned my finger green! It was marked '800' but I suppose it was mixed metal.
Hi guys. Glad you liked them.
If it was leaving a green colour behind then it wasn't silver for sure.

nice rings Chris.
Some real nice period rings!
But - sorry - in the case of the skullring in answer no. 16 i have a different opinion.
This pattern is the so called "gorilla head". A rather rare period pattern. It always was made of brass, silver plated, red paint in eyes or in a funny alloy nickel plated.
No period ones in silver.
The shown ring is in my opinion for sure a in silver cast fake.
For comparison two quick pics of a proofed period one. You will see the differences.
Hello Odal, thanks for your input. I don't know much about these skull rings but i am very interested to learn more. Mine and yours look very much the same but they have differences on the top part of the skull so it can't be a cast copy. Maybe a copy indeed but not a cast.
Could it be another variant? I have seen many different patterns of period canteen rings.
I have posted it here and it got mostly positive reviews. https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/third...review-309377/
Of course you are a ring collector and you know much more than me.
