I have had this for quite a while now, and I would really like some info on this if siomeone can help. It is a ring (silver??) that is dated 1944 and has the eagle/swastika on it, so I am assuming it is a war-era German ring--possibly an SS ring??? Any info would be great! Value??? thanks!
I have seen this ring in two versions...1 as it's shown here,2 As a LOC ring(legion of condor)Personally I think it's a repo..I also have seen a LOC ring almost just like this one but not as crude. But i agree w/what somebody else said DON
T THROW IT AWAY...if its "trecnh-art" it would most likely be made of aluminum, brass, copper or other scrap&of course if silver it would be marked 800 or 835,No sterling,925,no RZM,SS,ETC. on inside,Not that you said it was but just thought i'd mention that.I own 3 good rings(all 3 being copied now)As adie says"rings are a mindfeild"

Thanks for the reply. I still have it. I just have it in a box on the shelf with some other 'repro' WWII items. It'll sit there until I figure out what I want to do with it. I'll probably sell it. I know I won't get much though...maybe $5 or $10. thanks

It is certainly not SS related.

Rings can be a real minefield. I cannot recall seeing this type before? The eagle and swastika are rather crude to say the least. Fakes and fantasies abound in this specialised area of collecting.

Sorry I cannot be more helpful.

    Cheers, Ade.
