Hello guys! I will maybe buy this ring to my father to boost his own collecting
There seems like it's not any maker mark or grade stamp in it.

What do you think about the material? And is the ring from the period?

Thank you so much for your time!

These types of rings were produced both locally for the men and by the men themselves as trench art. The materials can be aluminum, nickel, stainless or even brass. Any number of metals, actually. Whatever was available. Unfortunately, they are impossible to date accurately. The locals continued to make them after the war's end, as souvenirs and momentos. And, of Course...the damned Fakers have been producing them in considerable numbers as well. If there's a buck to be made, they will go for it. The ring posted Looks okey, to my eyes, but as I said-without bulletproof provenance, it is simply not possible to say definitively one way or the other.

This ones are often brass and plated. Looks good to me, should be not very expensive.

Hello again I now have it in my hand and the wear of it and the patina looks good.

It's not magnetic and the ring has a yellow/gold tone under the plating so the material is brass.
I'm happy with this item but it will be a gift for my father

    Thank you again guys!
