Ring with skull and oak leaves

Hi guys, i came across this ring and thought to post it for reviews.
The overall condition and initials look to be a good sign but i am a bit skeptical.
Any believers out there?

I don't recall seeing one exactly like it, but as you surely know these were produced in a multitude of varieties...

To my eyes the patina looks fake...i.e too heavy. Added to that the 'patina' around the inscription has been removed in a halo fashion as per the postwar stamped erkennungsmarken we often see. I would say that this is a fake ring that has artificial patina painted on and THEN given an inscription. This one is not for me I'm sorry to say.

These rings are a damn minefield, lol...Glenn66 brings up some good points to consider as well...The best way in my opinion to score an authentic relic Kantinenring is to get in touch with one of our digger-friends on the forum...
