Not a design of SA ring that I have seen before, but that doesn't make it bad However, the detail looks quite soft in these photos, which might suggest casting albeit there is a hint of a joining seam.
What happened to the inside rim of the front, to the top left of the SA motif? That does not look right. What is the hallmark on the back of the runes plate?
Personally, I would be very wary with this one. I don’t like the look of it from the pics provided.
I agree, I have never seen such design before either. Soft details and not very convincing look overall. Be cautious.
MG.
Ok, Thanks for opinion have had this ring since late 80's but never looked into it before, tried to use magnified glass and think the stamp says 925 and the issue you mentioned on the top of emblem might have been dust from the box it came from I added another picture of the front from a different angle
Unusual for German silver to be sterling standard and stamped 925. Respectfully I would have thought it would be stamped 800 or 835.
Sorry, August, but I don’t believe that this ring was made during WWII. I think it’s a fake.
I too have this ring which I found at a carboot sale for only £1!!!
Doesn’t have any red on front , no markings at all within.
Established its silver but to what grade I don’t know
If correct it should be 800 - deffo Not 925
Like you I’m unsure if original or fantasy
Certainly mine has age to it
See what you think
It's a fantasy cast ring. Junk, sorry.
