I wouldn't wear an Ehrenring, but a Waffen SS skull ring should be OK, preferably from the Eastern Front. I should like wearing in honor of my Grandad Friedrich Thiemann who died there...

Is there a way of knowing whether a skull ring was worn by the Waffen SS?

This is really all quite fascinating, as I am brand new to this: history coming to life, so to speak... there's a YT channel, WWII MetalDetecting, that has unbelievable videos with historical references... but unfortunately they don't sell any of the items that they find.
