Hello Andy, as I mentioned in your introduction post, we do not do monetary valuations, but are happy to help with authentication.
Can you get a picture of or confirm the name inside the ring is Wolferseder'. I see a date of 7.3.1936 and the possible initials as I or S then U or N.
Kind regards,
Will.

First point to check would be the date.
7th March 1936 wasn't an official decreed date to my knowledge?
I thought there were only four approved dates going forward from 1936?
Hitler's birthday 20th April.
Summer Solstice 21st June.
Anniversary of the Putsch 9th November.
Winter Solstice 21st December.
Is the skull a separate piece? Can you post a front on clear photo of it?
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

Side note, the name of the Austrian Lady was likely Ludmilla Almeyer.
The text engraved usually started with S. lb.
I believe the 7-MAR-1936 was an official date to award the ring.
EDIT again: Wolferseder is a listed member of the Wiking Division:
August WOLFERSEDER SS-Nr.252 387 geb.11.01.1905 gest. 28.07.1990
SS-Hauptsturmführer: 30.01.1937; Stubaf.: 30.01.1942; SS-Sturmbannführer der Waffen-SS: 30.01.1942
served with Deutschland and in 1938 served with the 15.Kompanie/SS-Standarte 3 / Verfugungstruppe.
Kdr. Kradschützen Kompanie / SS-Verfügungsdivision: till 01.05.1938
SS-Hstuf., T.F.K. I in SS - Artillerie-Regiment d. SS - Verfügungstruppe – Division (09.40)
In 1941 transferred to the 5.SS-Panzer Division WIKING where he served with the I. Abteilung /SS-Artillerie Regt.
SS-Divisions-Nachschubführer 5 ← A.R. 5 (PV 12, 12.3.41)
Kdr. Nachsch.SS-Pz.Gr.Div. “Wiking” (10.43)
SA-Sports Badge in Gold
verh. mit AUGUSTE; geb. 24.09.1907; gest. 24.11.1976.
His SS number was quite low and this would qualify him for the ring, if I am correct ? But he died in 1990....
Happy to be corrected and learn.

7 March 1936 was official date. It regarded the annexation of the Rhineland.
