ss private purchase ring opinions please?

Article about: As I collect trench art rings I am not as well versed on the mass produced ones. Any opinions on the authenticity of this one? It is marked 900 on the inner shank but no other marks.

Stamped 900, but Looks to be plated. Not a good sign.

A shot of the backsite of the plate would still be interesting.

On the first view a typical mass produced ring with a backsite hollow plate. Usual this kind of rings is die struck/pressed.
This one looks as it has some signs of casting. Soft edges, pittings? in the deeper sections of the shoulders, casting line inside the band (above the content mark)....for me "nogos" for a period made SS-ring.

I believe the brown shading is deep tarnish...I purchased a DAK ring from this seller, it had the same look in the pics and ended up needing a good cleaning. I will try to obtain a pic of the underside to help. If it was real, and I'm leaning towards no, would 200 dollars US be a bad price?

200 would be a very good price for a period one.
But this ring has much problems.

I'm not liking the metal on this one all that much. Likely, another pre-aged fake.... Have been seeing this type showing up more and more of late. A shame, as in the right market, I've seen this Style of ring going as high as 2K.

Well, my opinion is that the ring itself is from the pre 1945 period but the engraving may be and also may not to be.
