I like the ring Jan but what links it to the SS Skijager Btl Norge ?
The gates of hell were opened and we accepted the invitation to enter" 26/880 Lance Sgt, Edward Dyke. 26th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers , ( 3rd Tyneside Irish )

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

Good points there gentlemen, I took the sellers word for granted on this one and when confronting him with the same question he admitted that it was only a hunch he had as he thought the unit fought here against the Finns. He was wrong in fact the unit fighting against the Finns was the Geb. jgr. rgt. 218. I haven´t managed to combine the deer emblem to any known SS units. So now its only a Gebirgsjäger ring to both of us .
