It had 800 stamped on the rear outside band.

My best advice is to Absolutely Avoid Gunbroker.com (as well as Ioffer) altogether. It is one of the largest dumping grounds of fakes, frauds and junk on the internet. 99.99% of German items-especially Rings are simply rubbish.

Period originals of this pattern are made from brass and silver plated.
If you look close on my ring you can see at some worn places the brass shining.

Why on Earth would it have Two "800" silver marks and why both on the Outside of the shank? I wonder, with that kind of determination, if it even Is silver at all?
