    I saw an item on the BBC-TV newstext last evening that two UK teens on a school trip to Auschwitz were being prosecuted by the Polish authorities for removing artifacts from the site. Their defence is that they found them discarded on the site.

    Under Polish law they are considered items of significant cultural importance and therefore, cannot be removed from the site.
