Welcome to the forum.. If you could please take pictures of each armband separately and close up pictures of the Star's of David as well as stitching on the front and back of each armband we would appreciate it..

I have never seen anything like them before but there are a few members here who directly specialize in the Holocaust and may be able to provide more insight.. They are very interesting..

There is one member here who has dedicated much of his life studying and conducting tours of the Concentration Camps,, he is a wealth of knowledge, I hope that Carl will see this and provide information..

I agree need better pictures but I would not hold out hope as genuine. 999 out of 1000 are fake.

I have never seen anything like this, a Jew was classified as a Jew only with a standard Jude Stern. There would be no need for the Reich to "add" Political, Homosexual or any other forbidden "colour" into the Stern. Leon.

No, this was really done in the camps: The general prisoner category triangle (pointing downward) was combined with a yellow triangle (pointing upward) identifying Jewish prisoners, thus forming a Star of David.

This is not to be confused with the yellow Judenstern that all Jews were forced to wear on their civilian clothing.

(These armbands are still bad, of course.)

Hmm....so the germans commenting on Rammsteins "Deuchland" were correct...the band members were representing all the different people who were prosecuted....
Guess you learn something new every day.

For the sake of future reference...

Red - Political Prisoners. Social democrats, socialists, communists and anarchists, as well as 'rescuers of Jews', trade unionists and Freemasons.

Green - Convicts and criminals. These prisoners were often employed as Kapos.

Blue - Emigrants and foreign forced labourers.

Purple - Primarily Jehovah's Witnesses, but also members of other, smaller pacifist religious groups.

Pink - Homosexuals and sexual offenders, to include pedophiles, rapists and zoophiles.

Black - People who were deemed 'asozial' (asocial) and 'arbeitsscheu' (workshy), as well as Roma and Sinti gypsies (male Roma were later assigned their own colou; brown), the mentally ill and mentally unstable, who were branded as 'Blöd' (stupid), alcoholics, drug addicts, vagrants, pacifists, lesbians and some anarchists.

Uninverted Red - Enemy prisoners of war (POWs), as well as spies, traitors and war criminals.

    Regards, B.B.
