Recent visit to the international travelling exhibition by the memorial foundation of Buchenwald and Mittelbau-Dora, entitled "Forced Labour", during its stop in Prague. The exhibition, which has also been featured in the Royal Castle, Warsaw, the LWL Industriemuseum in Dortmund, the Moscow Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War and also the JMB (Jewish Museum Berlin), opened at the Royal Summer Palace in Prague earlier this summer and will run until the end of October. For anybody able to visit, the exhibition is open daily from 10:00 til 18:00 and admission costs 80Kč (around 3 Euros).
The exhibition features sections including a prologue, forced labour before the outbreak of war, accommodation, radicalisation in occupied Europe, mass phenomenom in the German Reich, liberation, the long road to recognition and also features the experiences of various former forced labourers in addition to a large collection of related material.
Finally, a letter from the Siemens company to Lucjan Gruchot, dated spring 1988. The letter, refusing compensation, states that "wage supplements" can no longer be paid out to former labourers
