As it was a "speedy" visit I did not get the chance to make detailed photo's of everything.

The fence posted here are from the back of the KZ close to the bridge that leads to the crematoria.

More sections from the camp near München.

    1) Perimeter section near access gate.

    2) Length shot showing the outer wall and watch towers. The roof of the former maintenance building is also visible, behind the reconstructed exhibition barrack that stands on the site of the former outpatients and operating infirmary barrack, visible to the right of the image.

    3) Close up view of the electrified fencing wire, outer security wall and another of the six original watch towers, all of which remain present.

    4) Ditch and perimeter fencing near the Krematoria facility entrance - accessible via a small bridge which is shown earlier in the thread.

    5) Stark contrast betwenn the blue winter sky and the sharp barbed wire (partially replaced) of the Krematoria sector gates.

    KZ-Stutthof

East of Danzig (Gdansk, PL), the major camp located next to the village of Sztutowo.

    1) Section of fencing near the Haupteingang (main entrance) to the Häftlingslager (prisoner camp). Visible through the wire are the remains of the former Häftlingsküche (prisoner kitchen)

    2) This view shows the length of the perimeter fencing alongside the former old camp (i.e. the original prisoner compound). The electrified wire fencing was erected with double layers - internally, with wooden posts but also the more familiar stone posts were established to strengthen the camp security - visible on the outside. In the distance, the Stutthof Krematorium is visble.

    3) View taken at the perimeter of the Neue Lager (new camp), a large prisoner compound which was constructed during the latter expansion of Stutthof. In the distance, the former Kommandantur and SS vegetable gardens and facilities are visible.

Note: Today, 9th May 2015, marks the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the camp at Stutthof.
