A major satellite of Mittelbau-Dora, and located near to the Stammlager, the subcamp, without the SS guard and inmates - who had left on forced marches earlier, was discovered during the same few days that Mittelbau-Dora was itself liberated. This week marks the 70th anniversary of the liberation, with a news feature (German language) linked below addressing commemorative events to take place this week at both Mittelbau-Dora and Buchenwald, which was also liberated at the same time.
