    Thanks for sharing these. Coincidentally, I was there at Auschwitz last Friday. Though I went fully prepared and aware of it's history, the impact of being there and seeing it was in no way diminished. I didn't take many photos, as I felt more inclined to try and take it all in, but I did get some at Birkenau. I am definitely glad to have been able to visit, I've always felt it to be important. My friends, who were less aware of the full scale of Auschwitz and it's industrialised killing described the visit as 'life changing'.

    I went to the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp near Berlin and was totally overwhelmed with what I saw... Auschwitz and the other places you mentioned are on my list of places to see. I can only imagine how powerful an experience it will be...

    These are very sad place.I went only in Dachau years ago and still remember the sensations that I felt.

    Have been to Dachau also plus Belsen , must admit the punishment block at Dachau was a very emotive place to think of the agonies suffered in there !!
    The gates of hell were opened and we accepted the invitation to enter" 26/880 Lance Sgt, Edward Dyke. 26th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers , ( 3rd Tyneside Irish )
