An afforded view of an ever so rare photo ( compliments of the GDC forum ) of a DJ "Deutsches Jungvolk"...wearing a standard HJ knife. No period photos exist at the present time of an Actual DJ knife being worn.

We have seen how some HJ Boys have roughly treated their knives by tossing them about leaving cracked grip plates or missing pieces from them..below is a photo I liberated from the Cap forum ( Compliments of our Mod Stonemint )
Take a close look at the Youth on the far right of the photo and examine which appears the whole grip plate is intact ..but totally void of the HJ diamond.
We also know that these diamonds are affixed and bent into place beneath the plates prior to final assembly. So....... we see what happens to thrown HJ knives in trees...how does a missing diamond happen?
Too much time on his hands and a total take down ?
The national insignia is missing...does the hierarchy frown on the national emblem missing?
Removing a diamond is no easy feat..and is well secured inside . Thoughts?
Regards Larry
