Another great " In wear " photo of HH.

This one shows a standard SS 33em dagger..and an interesting note of a Belt loop over the pocket ...not attached to the duty belt .
Also of special note is the thin grip of this dagger. Im thinking Robert Klaas ?

    Special Thanks to Friedrich Berthold

An excellent view of both uniform and SS degen. I thank Friedrich Berthold for this image to add to the Wearing of Third Reich Edged Weapons.

This SS Officer Degen has an afforded view of the inset SS runes medallion on the grip and for the sharper eye... the SS Runes marked portepee.
The Degen has the commonly seen 14 rib grip type.
Also visible is the Degen snap clip attached to the under the pocket hanger.

By the stern facial expression these 2 Officers are a couple of creeps

Another great contribution from one of WRFs esteemed members...this photo credit belongs to Member JHAM of the SS Uniform forum.
Below is another study of the Chained SS in wear this one being from beneath the pocket.

The dagger appears to be a Type A ( early initial production ) or a B1 being later from the initial production period, having the thin looking center ramp on the scabbard.

also an afforded view into the SS "Kultur" is the candle lit " Julleuchter " a rare sight in itself to see these being actually used in period photos.

A wealth of information for the studious minds are many other details seen in this one photo.
    A great thankyou again JHAM

    Best Regards Larry

The man who seems to be officiating is an SD officer, and there is, indeed, a man in black SS uniform at the rear.

This picture is or is not from a Czech site. The use of the black and grey uniform together was quite widespread in the Tschechei.

Another rare photo from our esteemed member JHAM shows a 3 in 1 specialty for the uniform and dagger collector

First is the rare martyr cuff title representing Wilhelm Friedrich Loeper a Nazi politician and Gauleiter in the Gau of Magdeburg-Anhalt ..who passed away while in office in 1935 from neck cancer.

2nd is the rare afforded view of an under the pocket suspension of an SSem dagger.

and 3rd ...which Im intrigued by is the low step crossguard that compares very closely to a low step Suhl crosguard.
There are no known examples of this type of guard except on one existing Wilhelm Kober example presently in a collection of a GDC member.
Kober is listed as an early SS Producer.

Take notice to the thin lower guard with the "rocking horse' type curvature of the guard.

Yet another Ultra rare look into a Chained SS dagger being a Type A through close examination of the Wotans Knot.

I thank WRF Member JHAM for his contribution in this thread below showing an obscure cuff title

    Interesting cuff title O.A. Main

With Great photos are always other details to be seen ..and I could not help myself to notice the early configuration of the Chain assembly...but another detail and documented fact that with this dagger being an Initial production type...one will notice that that chain tab burnish is barely visible ..yet traces of it upon close examination can still be seen.
SS - Schutzstaffel SS - Schutzstaffel

The burnish on these early CH SS types have been known to wear away quickly..which the early SS uniform supports this time stamp.

The burnishing Process improved over the Third Reich period which "some " later examples still show their tab burnishing..and a rare handful of early initial production examples also held onto their burnishing as seen in a few pinned SS Chained dagger threads at the top of the SS dagger forum.

A supportive study for the Chained SS collectors.

    Compliments of WRF member Jamie7d7

I look into the SS controlled police branch.
The dagger if you look close enough is a Chained SS as the center ramp and is peeking out form the officers uniform.

A photo of great study for the uniform and dagger collector.
