Wonderful examples of early, very rare, SS-VT schiffen. Thank you for sharing these wonderful study pieces to the Forum. It is a breath of fresh air to see genuine period pieces instead of pictures of 4th Reich garbage from some dealer's web site.

LIFE'S LOSERS NEVER LEARN FROM THE ERROR OF THEIR WAYS.
I associate myself with the above. We are tipping the scales back towards knowledge and usefulness to the commonweal here with nice things, versus the "crimped prongs" and Saint Deschler alchemy and witchcraft that irritates us all.
Our Italian associate is plainly an accomplished collector with a good eye for authentic items and the bravery to assemble an important collection. Bravo.
Bob and Friedrich, you are too kind. I'm just a collector who has found a nice and serious place where share with others their items.During the years I have learned a lot reading yours thread and I'm happy to be here to share my collection and to give my little contribution. The only bad thing is my bad English
Nice to see you here Francesco and what beauties you're sharing! Thanks

Matt
wonderful caps Francesco!
cheers,
Max
We do need Mr. d'Alquen to tell us when the field grey version of this cap came into use, because I rather thought that the earth grey or earth brown version was introduced in 1934 on the Rw model.
The RFSS tag was used, as near as I can tell, from 1934 until about 1938 or so, or maybe 1937. However, such is a guess.
