Fake, from what I can see.
Waffen-SS M44 camo jackets had 5 (five) buttons, not 6 (six). Furthermore I’m not happy with other details such the excessively rounded bottom corners of the pockets. Other things should be viewed, such as the first aid dressing inner pocket, marking (if any), the inner suspension straps at waist level.
There is no reason to classify this garment as Police Field Unit's. “Polizei” camo four-pockets jackets did feature a six-button closure, but breast pockets were pleated and inner details differed. Seller has little knowledge of Police Field Unit uniforms, obviously. If I may, forget about it.
Thanks for the info.
I thought it would be since I noticed the rounded bottom pockets, But wasn't sure.
Defiantly giving this one a pass.
The stitching on the back of the collar looks brand new,to my eyes.
And if you go after another, ask for photos of the inside, stitching can be a giveaway with many repros.
Thank you, I will look out for the stitching next time.
