Allg/SS Officers Visor

From the limited images, the cap looks fine. To clarify a common misidentification of black hats, this is not necessarily an "Allgemeine SS" hat. All branches of the SS prior to the war wore the black uniform as their dress uniform. Nice addition to your collection.

Nice hat. The skull would be a RZM 52 and the eagle a M1/8.

The majority of the Allgemeine SS were part timers and likely only owned a black uniform. Higher ranks and full time members would wear a gray uniform for work. I have a gray open collar Allgemeine Gruppenfuhrer tunic.
Your new cap appears to be in excellent condition. Congratulations on a nice addition to your collection.

I would guess this is a Wagner cap, hersteller #4. Does it still have the RZM tag under the sweatband? Such original items are a pleasure to see whether we catogorise them in the correct mannor or not these days...
