A fantastic source and a wonderfully presented reference. Many thanks to Mr.Delich, and to you yourself F-B, for yet another fine contribution to the forum.

    Warm regards,

    Carl

p.s. I fully concur and endorse your comments regarding Ade and his approach toward the establishment and continued improvement of this site. It is indeed a pleasure to be in a position to contribute.

p.p.s. Shame I am not in a position to make a run at that marzipan, it sounds
    schmackhaft

Well said. We are a truly fortunate group to mutually benefit from the collegial environment established by our members and friends on this forum. I wish to extend my thanks to Mr. Delich for the nice images as well as to F-B for his efforts here from which we all profit.

    Regards to all,

    CMH

Thanks, colleague, and the more of benefit that unfolds here the more such attracts the upward potential in the field versus its opposite, with the endless emphasis on fakes, the negatives, jealousy, greed, rage, and stupidity.

Yes, great SS-collection my friend David owns. I know David for about 35 years or so and when
I saw his collection at his house, during a visit, I was totally flabbergasted!
Cufftittles he owned in those days also quite a lot. It is great some of his great stuff is shown here
for the benefit of our eyes! FB thank him from me, okay!

I guess that most of the Standarte-numbers (or anyway many) I can identify , as I do have an SS
    address-list from October 1, 1937. I am missing 11, 37 and 38, 52, 76, 87, 89 and 90 and all above
92 as they were then no listed yet. Further included were the Reiter-Standarte numbers from 1
    through 17 and 21; Nachrichten-Sturmbanne 1 through 12 and Pionier-Sturmbanne 1, 2, 3, 5, 6,
    7, 8 and 10.
Thank you. SS rank lists of a certain date identify all the SS Standarten in detail in an appendix at the rear of the volume, but am I correct in suggesting that these varied across the span of a short time as the HQs and such? That is, the locales of the HQs changed somewhat.
Thanks for helping us with this and so many things.

FB: mailed David myself to thank him. Maybe we can see more Delich-material,
as he surely will have some are stuff. As far as I know he has Ehrenführer.

The address-list indeed has some handmade corrections, but also the street-addresses
and phonenumbers are included. These corrections are from 1938 as included then is
also Austrian-material. Some of the handwritings are difficult to read as they are in
Sütterlin. Know to read most of this, but the handwritten stuff in the list (booklet) is
    quite difficult to identify.

Our warm thanks to David Delich for his willingness to share with this site his life's time accomplishment. Who ever can identify all the Standarte and more or less date of make will get one marzipan Deschler 'scull' made by my favorite Konditor in the Wollzeile in Wien.
I can ID all units and commands, but can you send strudel instead ?

I would like to add a big personal thank you to Dave for these wonderful images and to "FB" for posting them here.

All the kind comments make me blush!

    Cheers, Ade.

Thank you. We are also pleased that you have joined our little group. I am sure you will find the biotope here more congenial than elsewhere. We also say "thank you" when you proffer courtesies, which is not the case elsewhere. The Konditor in the Wollzeile distinguishes itself more in marzipan and such, though I think they have Strudel on the menu as well. One cannot render the special Deschler traits of 'crimped prongs' as well in Strudel Teig as in Marzipan, you see.

Actually, if you ask these nice people to do anything of this sort we joke about here in my beloved Vienna, the Staatspolizei would come by very quickly and you would be packed off to the slammer ganz geschwind. Mit solchen Themen wird ueberhaupt keinen Spass gemacht.
